I am an aspiring LPFM operator for Wellston, but wasn't ready to go during the original filing window. If we ever see another LPFM filing, I'm trying for 102.3 MHz or 102.9 MHz to do an oldies format similar to yours. In any case, keep up the great work. Love the station and the music. You've proven that LPFM can truly be a success.

Your music is fantastic. The composite tunes I just heard about 11:15pm tonight was awesome. The Ad Council stuff is nice too.
You're doing a very classy job. I plan to send in a contribution to help you recoup some of your costs (hope I don't forget).

We really thank all of you for all of your hard work to get the station up and running.
We feel you are bringing REAL ENJOYMENT to MANY, MANY listeners.
Thank you and keep on sending out the "groovy" waves.
Congrats---

Your website is great! I look forward to hearing your music as soon as I can find it on the radio dial at work. Keep up the good work guys!

I used to listen to WOUB-FM, but when they changed from classical to whatever they have now, I quit. I thought I was destined to a silent world. But your station has changed all that.
I live on Lavelle Road and I have great receptionl because I am just a stone's throw from your transmitter.
I love the selection of music. It is never boring, never predictable. Keep up the good work! Thanks!

Great programming, guys! Thanks very much.

Hi! I picked up your station driving through Union the other day and haven't changed the channel yet - thanks for bringing back many fond memories from my youth! I will be happy to contribute to your cause, please let me know how to do so. Thanks.

Richard and Jim,
Congratulations! WEAK, 106.7 FM is a reality and entertaining the Athens listeners twenty-four hours a day.
You've done a great job. The variety of music and production mix well together. The singing clock gives the station a unique sound. It all sounds very professional. Other oldies stations become boring quickly, but WEAK leaves the listener in anticipation--what's coming next? They won't want to turn it off.
You've put a lot of time and money into this project, and I'm happy for both of you.
As a marathon listener to both f.m. and a.m. radio, I don't think I've ever heard an obscure 50's doo-wop tune wedged between Steve Miller and Ray Stevens! Great format!
Eric
I'm back where I've always been when I listen to all those old memories - some long forgotten. The 50's - 60's are still here. Wish we could go back with all our friends; swimming, record hops, walking home from the show & Elvis when WE were new!
Never stop! We didn't know what we had. Thanks for bringing it back - if only in our dreams!
A Constant New Listener
What a great radio station! I haven't heard any repeats yet!
Hoping for a stronger signal all the way to Amesville!
Beverly
I've been meaning to write for quite a while. I've been listening almost from the beginning. Your station has filled the void left when the other "non-commercial" dropped classical music from it's programming.
Thanks for providing non-commercial radio with music as it's main offering. I do enjoy the media news reports, also!

This is just a note to let you know HOW MUCH we enjoy your radio station - we listen to it at home and in the car. Also, thanks so much for playing selections from our two CDs! It's wonderful to get some 'air time' in Athens for a change.
Thanks again!!!

Thats the only radio done like that anymore. Its all gone. My compliments for having a station that really cares about keeping our music and memories going. Most guys would just stumble around but you are marching to the beat.
Regards, Chuck
I seldom have a radio on at work, but I have mashed, shimmied, and twisted my way through a bill paying snowy day listening to WEAK radio! Happy Anniversary!

You do a great job and I love listening to your station! Been listening since you first came on the air last year.
Thanks!

Keep up the EXCELLENT work @ WEAK! You are doing an outstanding job and we LOVE the music! Much nostalgia!
Regards, Rob & Ruth Ann
You are doing a great service to the area! I grew up near New York City and listened to the likes of Cousin Brucie on 77 WABC and Murry the K and his swingin' soiree on 1010 WINS - NY. Where else could I have heard such bon mots as 'rub my belly with linseed oil, and wrap my head with aluminum foil?'
Thanks for the music - keep it up!
The Boy from New York City
I enjoy your music while I work during my busy tax season. Keep up the great work!

Keep up the great music! Sally and I are really enjoying your station!

Great Site!!!!! Great station-I love doo-wop. I have a 105 song collection of doo-wop.

I am a former Athens resident and while visiting with my sister for the past six weeks I have immensely enjoyed your radio station. There is nothing like the "oldies" for enjoyable and memorable listening.
I just wish we had a station with your format in Lexington. Va.

Habitat for Humanity is very grateful to your for arranging the music for our recent BBQ Bash. Your selections were certainly right for our crowd, and having the music added a fine atmosphere to our gathering. And you couldn't have made it more convenient for us. We hope all those people who turned our for the Bash are now tuning in to station WEAK.
We were pleased with the setting for the Bash and the turnout as well. We netted a little over $1500.00, all of which will go toward construction oof our next house. We begin construction on September 13 at a site in Coolville. I am sure our partner family there will be grateful for your contributions. We enjoyed your music a great deal and hope we will have a chance to work with you again.
Best,
Danny Moates
Congratulations on the very impressive spread in The Athens Messenger. I think a number of people enjoyed your presentation at Downtown Athens Kiwanis a copule of week ago, too. I hope things continue to come together for you and this project. There are so many folks in the community who enjoy WEAK that I am confident it's popularity will not wane for years to come.
Sincerly your,
L. Alan Goldsberry
I love your station. I would love to hear more 'soul music' - Smokey Robinson, the Temptations, Four Tops, Marvin Gaye, etc. Also, I love the Beatles and the Association.
Please Play 'Ooh, Baby, Baby' by Smokey Robinson for me.
I listen to your station all the time when I'm in my car.
Barbara W.
I love your format. Mainly, no news. I can get news anytime on every other station, but yours. That's unique! Keep it up.
I wish this check was bigger. I can't pay what it is worth to me.
Margeret

This may be old news to you, but I just learned that WCBS-FM in New York City abruptly changed its format on June 4, 2005. A mainstay of oldies radio since 1972, it was decided that the station needed to appeal to the under 30 crowd. This was, of course, a decision by Infinity Broadcasting who - along with Clear Channel - are destroying diversity in radio. No more Beatles or Beach Boys or Four Seasons. Hello hip-hop and Brittney Spears. Ugh!
Thank God for you guys! And thank you for the kind words you broadcast about me after your profile in Messenger appeared. I have been meaning to thank you.
Best wishes,
David D.

Should you choose to recognize us on air, last name is Fales, phonetically like fails or sales. Stated in 'Chucko' styly - get it right, you knuckleheads~ Ha!
Seriously, thanks for all your good work. Love the station!

I appreciate your adding some big band era music to your daily programming throughout the week.
We want to assist you with your expenses with a small contribution. I hope someday you'll be able to increase your station power, but in the meantime, keep up the good work in providing a station that plays the good old oldies, and gospel programming.
God Bless You!
Chuck and wife.
Keep up the great work! Your station is the very best in the U.S.

Richard, I was just reading the general coments section of "Reel to Reel radio" (Uncle Ricky). Chris (Joos?) mentioned your station as an example of how top 40 stations used to sound like. PS: My contribution is in the mail.

Hey! I just started listening to your station. It is great! You guys are putting out some of the most interesting radio in the area. Thanks for being here.
Please send me a window sticker so I can proudly display it on my car.
Thanks again.

My grandson thinks it's cool!!! Now He knows why I still like the music at 65 years old!

Still really enjoying your station. I really like the Saturday morning offering even if I am a bit too young for some of it.
Music, all top 40, from c. 1948 - 1961 gets me; and I love that variety of crooners & rockers!

You deserve a big congratulations for a job well done. I was listening to WEAK radio today, and it just gets better and better with each passing year--even with Chucko's warped mind. I like some of his dropins.
May God continue to bless the fruits of your labor in the coming year.
